At Kurtović Designs, we specialize in crafting exquisite handbags made from intertwined coils of rope to create a timeless design. Our mission is to offer luxury pieces that stand out, showcasing the intricate artistry of our materials. Each handbag is a unique piece, reflecting the dedication and passion that goes into their creation.

We do not believe in the hurried pace of modern manufacturing. True craft cannot be rushed.

The Weezie Collection: Each piece requires a minimum of 8 hours of dedicated stitching.
The Junie Collection: A masterwork of complexity, requiring at least 16 hours of labor to achieve its final form.
The Aggie Collection: A smaller version of The Weezie Collection, each piece requires at least 6 hours to create.

This deliberate pace ensures that every stitch is intentional and every bag is built to endure.

THE ARTISAN

At Kurtović Designs, luxury is defined by the steady hand of the maker and the quiet passage of time. Every piece in our collection is born in Kelli Kurtović’s private studio in Haw River, North Carolina. What begins as a simple skein of rope and a vision is meticulously transformed through a process that demands equal parts precision and patience.

Kelli’s sewing journey began at age eight, learning the craft from her mother, but her true passion for sewing took center stage in 2024 after she transitioned away from the corporate world. Kelli brings a unique perspective to her work, applying 27 years of engineering experience to the art of bag-making. By combining consistent techniques with creative design, she ensures that every piece is more than just an accessory - it is a high-quality, durable work of art built to elevate your everyday style.

Kelli’s design philosophy is rooted in the balance of a well-lived life. When she isn't at her sewing machine, she finds inspiration in the quiet moments - reading, enjoying the company of her family, and spending time with her Shih Tzu, Weezie, who serves as the namesake for her debut collection.
